Have you ever wondered who keeps the fencing through The Villages standing and painted? Or what about the tunnels; who is repairing the lighting and responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of the tunnel walls? These would be just a small portion of things the Infrastructure Division covers.
The Landscape Division is responsible for upholding and preserving our community’s aesthetic per the intended design. The Landscape Division monitors and manages the landscape maintenance contractors to ensure maintenance is performed in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner that meets or exceeds the contract specifications and limits impact on the environment.
Projects often arise which do not directly fit the responsibilities of any certain division or encompass the duties of multiple divisions. These projects, especially if involving stormwater issues or geological anomalies, are assigned to the Special Projects division as deemed appropriate.
The Town Center Division is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair and janitorial services for all three Town Squares (Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing & Brownwood), as well as maintaining the District offices.
