District Gate Information

The District owns and maintains over 100 gate facilities. The primary function of the gate is to slow traffic through the area while the primary responsibility of the Gate Attendant is to assist with traffic control throughout The Villages community.

When an arm becomes damaged, the District works quickly to either return the gate to operational condition or to place cones or Stop barricades until permanent repairs can be made. Our gate facilities function as an important traffic safety feature for all residents throughout the community.

We encourage our residents, along with the general public, to assist us by immediately reporting any gate strikes to Risk Management at 352-674-1828 (during business hours) or Community Watch at 352-753-0550 (after hours).
