Having a valid Villages identification (ID) card ensures easy access to The Villages’ amenities and services. All Villages residents are issued identification cards. To replace a lost, stolen, or damaged Resident ID Card, residents may be required to provide proof of identity (picture ID), ownership, or Villages residency. For more information, please contact District Customer Service.
We can replace your Resident ID and issue you a new permanent ID Card. Lost, stolen, or damaged Villages Resident ID cards will be replaced for a $15.00 charge. A new resident ID number will be issued and a new photo will be taken each time a new ID is issued.
Lost or stolen Resident ID Cards can be replaced at any of the District Customer Service Center locations. You have two options for getting a new Villages Resident ID Card. You can receive a free temporary 30-Day ID Card to give you an opportunity to find your original ID Card if you have misplaced it.

Guests of The Villages residents whose home address is outside Lake, Sumter, and Marion Counties are eligible to use selected Villages’ resident amenity-supported recreational facilities with a valid Guest ID card. An original Villages Guest ID Card is required for all guests one (1) year of age and older.
To replace lost, stolen or damaged Gate Access Cards, the homeowner should bring all remaining gate cards as they are issued in sets of two. Lost or stolen gate cards will be replaced at a $15 charge per card.
Homeowners can also purchase additional gate cards for a $15 charge. A total of four gate cards can be issued per home. The payment types accepted are Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
If the homeowner cannot be present to replace a lost card or to purchase an additional card, the homeowner must complete the Gate Card Authorization form and have it notarized.
Guest ID Cards (ordered online or in-person applications), replacement Resident ID Cards, and replacement Gate Access Cards are available at our main District office or any of our customer service locations.
